iQuake – The new line of Earthquake media player/audio systems dramatically enhances the quality of your digital music from an iPod® or other portable media player. The IQ52 systems replenish subtleties that get lost during compression from the original media to portable devices.

With sound quality that fills the room to its acoustic capacity, the IQ52 system with 2.1 capability is supported by superior-quality carbon fiber mid-range units, smooth and non-compromising 20mm silk dome NEO tweeters, and a high-power 200-watt built-in amplifier.

The cabinets are built strong and carefully coated with a luxurious high-gloss lacquer finish that is as flawless as the music flowing from the speakers. Additionally, the new bold colors of the iQuake system make it stand out. iPod-ready docks and cables are included for stereo/home entertainment system connections, while the docking station enables the system to play, charge, and sync your iPod from one convenient location.

iQuake® is the ideal solution when you want a compact speaker that delivers music in true hi-fi quality. It has a built-in iPod® dock and can play music directly from your iPod. iQuake also has a remote input switch to connect two additional signal sources. iQuake can replace a traditional stereo system. A built-in 200W RMS amplifier gives iQuake dynamic properties usually associated with large separate amplifiers.

Connections

Besides the iPod docking station on top of iQuake, several connectivity options on the back ensure compatibility with most audio sources. Phono input allows the connection of a computer, CD player, radio tuner, etc. A  3.5mm mini jack input is ideal for use with any MP3 player, and with the included adapter, it also works as a regular phono input. A subwoofer output is also provided to expand the iQuake system with a subwoofer. Earthquakes MiniMe subwoofers are ideal partners for iQuake for a complete 2.1 audio system. The Sub output is crossed over at 80Hz, so it is universally compatible with all subwoofers on the market. The USB connection is used to communicate with your PC or MAC via iTunes so you can update your iPod. When docked, the iPod is charged by the iQuake system.

Digital Transmission

The docking station in iQuake transmits the signal from your iPod digitally and then converts it to an analog audio signal. This ensures that you always get the most out of the music you put on your iPod.

The Amplifier

Since iQuake is an active speaker, it has a built-in 200-watt amplifier. This means you do not need to have an amp taking up space on your shelf, computer table, or anywhere else you want to enjoy superb music reproduction.

The Drivers

The use of a silk dome treble driver with a Neodymium magnet and a bass driver with a woven carbon fiber cone and pole-ventilated magnet contributes to the unique sound quality that reviewers around the world rave about.

The Cabinet Construction

The cabinets are made of solid HDF (high-density fiberboard) with a thickness of 2.5 cm. The cabinet finish is a unique process with several stages, beginning with thoroughly sanding and priming the cabinet surface. Several layers of lacquer follow this, finished with a smooth and deep clearcoat. The cabinet is carefully polished and has a smooth and soft finish, setting the standard for elegance. iQuake will add sculptural finesse and exclusivity to your home.
